Chatifier Privacy Notice

Last updated: 30 July 2026. Operator: g-square.ai LTD (United Kingdom), trading as Chatifier (chatifier.ai). Contact: support@chatifier.ai.

Chatifier provides AI assistants that businesses install on their own websites. This notice covers two situations: you have a Chatifier account (you run an assistant), or you are a visitor talking to a Chatifier assistant on a business's website.

If you talk to a Chatifier assistant on a website

The business whose website you are visiting decides what the assistant is for; that business is the data controller for your conversation. Chatifier processes your data on its behalf under a data processing addendum.

  • What we process: the messages you type; if you use voice, your audio while the microphone is active; contact details (name, email, phone) if you choose to submit them; and technical data (IP address, browser type) used for security and rate limiting.
  • AI processing: your messages are processed by AI language-model providers, and voice audio by speech-recognition and speech-synthesis providers, to generate answers. The current providers and safeguards are listed on our Subprocessors page. You are always shown an "AI assistant" label — you are never talking to a human through this widget.
  • Storage: conversations are stored encrypted so the business can review them and answer unresolved questions. Voice audio itself is never stored by Chatifier — only the text transcript remains. Retention periods are in our Data Retention Schedule.
  • Browser storage: the widget stores a random chat identifier in your browser so your conversation stays connected. It is strictly necessary for the chat to function and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
  • What not to share: please do not enter payment-card numbers, government identifiers, health details, or other sensitive information — the assistant does not need them.
  • Your rights: direct requests about your conversation data to the business whose website you used; we assist that business in fulfilling access, correction, and deletion requests.

If you have a Chatifier account

We are the data controller for your account.

  • What we process: your email address and password (stored as a hash); company name and billing details; the content you upload or crawl into your knowledge base; your assistants' conversation logs and captured leads (processed on your behalf); usage and billing records; and support correspondence.
  • Why (lawful bases): providing the service you signed up for (contract); billing, tax, and accounting records (legal obligation); service emails such as lead notifications, low-balance alerts, and password resets (contract); securing, debugging, and improving the service (legitimate interests).
  • Payments are processed by PayPal; we never receive your full card number.
  • Where: our servers, database, and backups run on Amazon Web Services in the EU (Stockholm). AI language and speech providers process conversation content in the United States under data processing agreements with EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses safeguards — see the Subprocessors page.
  • Your rights: access, correction, deletion, export, restriction, objection, and the right to complain to your supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office). You can delete chatbots, documents, and conversations directly from your dashboard; for account closure and full deletion, contact support@chatifier.ai.

Retention

See the Data Retention Schedule page for the full schedule. In short: conversations live as long as the chatbot they belong to; voice audio is never stored; website-trial demo assistants are deleted after 7 days; backups roll over after 30 days; billing records are kept for the legally required period.
